African Camping Dream

We stayed at the Omandumba campsite. This is how you imagine camping in the African wilderness! The campsites are very widely spread across the site, so you are completely lonely in the wilderness.

The camp spots were chosen very carefully, our fire pit and fixed tables were set between two large shady stones. The outdoor bathroom is simply spectacular, and fully functional, with hot water and even a "mirror cabinet" in a repurposed water canister. Since there was no electricity, we only had a barbeque one day and ate at the lodge the second night. It was very comfortable, everyone at a table together, there was typical African home cooking and then we were driven back to the lodge in the open safari car through a fantastic starry sky.
